What is TeleHealth?

The COVID-19 pandemic has created situations when it has not been safe to conduct in-person treatments for individuals who have tested positive with COVID-19. The health, safety and well-being of all patients are very important to me; therefore, there are times when using a telehealth/telemedicine platform (much like Zoom) allow patient care to continue.  Although, as a designated essential worker and business, I continue to see patients in the office, using my telehealth feature allows me to “see” and converse with patients who have tested positive for COVID-19 or who are unable to come into the office due to a handicap or living long distances from the office. My HIPPA-compliant form of medicine is extremely valuable in allowing me to prescribe and recommend solutions for pressing health issues.

My passion and commitment is helping you in both good and hard times. Even within challenging circumstances, it is essential that you maintain the progress you’ve made so that you continue to get support for your overall health during these stressful times. Your treatment works best with consistency and momentum. Now, more than ever, we all need support.

To allow you to successfully continue your course of treatment without losing ground, I am introducing new online treatment options via telehealth. If you haven’t been in for a while and just feel the need for extra support, these options are for you too. I am here for you during the Coronavirus pandemic, and beyond.

What is Telehealth?

According to the American Telemedicine Association (ATA), telehealth (or telemedicine) is defined as technology-enabled health and care management that extends beyond capacity and access. In other words, it is healthcare that can be provided through technology that overcomes certain limitations, like the inability to receive care face-to-face, for example. While telehealth has been around for a long time, it has recently grown in popularity during the emergence of COVID-19.
