Cosmetic Acupuncture and Microneedling

Introducing

“Gracefully Aging”

Facial Rejuvenation Program

Acupuncture has now evolved into a facelift treatment. This has been demonstrated across the globe, and it is especially popular among the millennial generation who are looking to ward off wrinkles for as long as possible.

Now Integrated Acupuncture Services, PC dba Central Coast Light Therapy is offering a fabulous Facial Rejuvenation Program called “Gracefully Aging” which describes choosing to grow older without undergoing any aesthetic procedures to help maintain glowing health and radiant looks.

Cosmetic Acupuncture Treatment

Like any acupuncture treatment, this revolves around inserting tiny needles into the skin in strategic places. It helps with circulation to rejuvenate the skin for a more youthful complexion.

The very fine needles can be placed along the eyes, mouth, neck and ears, and this causes the face to essentially “lift” itself through the muscles tightening and rejuvenating. The stimulation to the skin also increases collagen production by creating small, non-invasive micro-traumas that will initiate cellular repair.

The Benefits

The cosmetic acupuncture revolves around completely revitalizing the skin. It has the ability to diminish fine lines and reduce the appearance of wrinkles and undereye bags, while firming and tightening the face’s muscles and skin.

Cosmetic acupuncture can be both safe and effective in treating not only surface appearance but also in treating the individual’s underlying conditions associated with the aging process by using body acupuncture, thus treating overall health and well-being.

The Difference

So, how does this treatment differ from other facelifts or anti-aging methods? This treatment is non-invasive and painless, which can set it apart from injections. However, a large difference is how this treatment continues to work on improving elasticity of the skin after the needles have been removed.

Acupuncture also works in the realm of having the interior organs connected to exterior parts of the face, so this treatment can work to boost overall health by balancing interior and exterior health.

Micro and Nano Needling

Microneedling Therapy, also called Collagen Induction Therapy (CIT), and Percutaneous (through the skin) Collagen Induction (PCI), is a minimally invasive skin-rejuvenation procedure that involves the use of the AcuMicro Plus+ Pen.

The AcuMicro Plus+ pen used at my office almost doubles the RPM of other microneedling pens, oscillating at 18,000 RPM. High RPMs allow for more effective treatments overall and for larger areas such as the scalp or body to be treated with ease. The mechanical action of the pen allows the needles to puncture the skin and create a controlled injury at a specific depth. Each puncture creates a channel that triggers the body’s natural healing process to fill these micro wounds by producing new collagen and elastin in the papillary dermis. In addition, new capillaries are formed for improved blood supply.

With microneedling, the top layer of the skin is parted without being damaged, leaving the skin intact. It does not “burn” your skin like peels or more invasive lasers. There are 12 small needles on each single-use sterile microneedling head. The needle penetration depth can be adjusted from 0.25mm to 2.50mm into the skin depending on the area of the body and the skin condition being treated. Using skin needling consistently will trigger the body’s repair processes until the desired level of skin rejuvenation is achieved.

Microneedling results in the production of new collagen and elastin, improvement in skin tone and texture, firmness as well as reduction in scars, pore size, and stretch marks as well as 3000% better product absorption.

Nanoneedling also uses the same oscillating technology, but this method uses 81 smaller silicone tips to stimulate a skin reaction. These microscopic hair-like cones separate the cells within the outer layer of skin (the epidermis) to allow active products to be pushed into the skin. Benefits of this serum-infusion treatment include pigment reduction, increased cell turnover, skin rejuvenation and an immediate glow with no downtime. This treatment can be done weekly to exfoliate the skin.
